Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Performance Report

The report presents Toronto's 2024 ESG performance across environmental, social and governance priorities, including a corporate target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 65% from a 2008 baseline by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2040. It highlights completion of the first City-owned net-zero designed building at Mount Dennis and related renewable-energy projects. Toronto also received CDP Cities A-list recognition for the fourth consecutive year. Sustainable finance remains prominent through the City's Green and Social Bond programs supporting transportation, housing, climate resilience and essential services.
