Green Worcester Plan First Annual Progress Report

The report summarizes the City of Worcester's first progress review of the Green Worcester Plan from July 2021 through December 2023. It highlights the creation of the Department of Sustainability and Resilience and the Green Worcester Advisory Committee, alongside new dashboards, outreach, and planning infrastructure. The citywide aggregation program supplied 62% renewable energy as of December 2023, while municipal operations reduced emissions 16% since 2009. Other progress included expanded waterbody monitoring, 135 residential units de-leaded, 13 brownfields abated, and initial zero-waste and mobility initiatives.
