Annual Report

The report describes Coats's 2019 launch of its Pioneering a Sustainable Future strategy, organized around water, energy, effluent and emissions, social, and living sustainably. It reports a 3% reduction in GHG emissions intensity, a 5% reduction in absolute GHG emissions, and 32% renewable energy as a share of total energy used. The people section highlights the Journey to Zero health and safety strategy, a 20% reduction in injury rates, and 33% female representation on the Board. Coats also joined the UN Global Compact and states that sustainability is regularly reviewed by the Board.
