Overview

The report describes the Bank's formal 2019 sustainability strategy, centred on five themes including financial inclusion, social and environmental risk assessment, green finance, environmental conservation, and education. It reports progress in green financing and broader application of the SEMS framework across lending activities. The Bank also set goals for a carbon-neutral business operation by end 2020 and a paperless banking environment by 2030, while linking its strategy to seven priority SDGs. Sustainability disclosures were assured by Ernst & Young and DNV GL.
