Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents Saint-Gobain's first sustainable development report prepared in accordance with GRI guidelines and supported by a GRI B+ application-level check. For 2010, it reports Groupwide CO2 emissions of 18.7 million metric tons, comprising direct and indirect emissions, and Group energy use of 227,520 TJ. The Group had 189,193 employees at December 31, 2010. Workplace safety improved, although the report records 11 fatal work-related accidents during the year.
