The report presents Continental's 2017 sustainability performance across a global workforce of 235,473 employees and sales of €44,009.5 million. It reports 820,685 metric tons of Scope 1 CO2 emissions and a Scope 3 total of 11,841,569 metric tons of CO2, while tracking energy, water, and waste performance. Workplace safety disclosures record three fatal accidents involving one employee and two partner-company employees. The report is prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards Core option and also serves as the company's UN Global Compact Communication on Progress.
