Sustainability Annual Review

The report records 4.8% passenger-journey growth in 2025 and continued work toward its group-wide target to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions 51% by 2030 from a 2018 baseline, while acknowledging progress remains behind the required pathway. It completed a Double Materiality Assessment and strengthened sustainability oversight through the first full year of the CIÉ Board Sustainability Committee. The Sustainability Fund approved €12 million for 84 projects between 2022 and 2025, supporting initiatives including energy transition, biodiversity, resource efficiency, and climate resilience.
