The report presents Covia's first reporting to the SASB standard for the Metals & Mining Industry and describes monitoring Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and energy use across its mines and processing facilities. It reports on safety, environmental stewardship, biodiversity initiatives, and community partnerships. Covia says it invested $1.2 million in the communities where it operates in 2019.
