Annual Report

The report records 2011 group sales of €18,081 million and operating profit of €871 million, increases of 5% and 25% respectively. It reports seven fatalities in Group subsidiary companies, including four employees and three contractors, and describes intensified efforts to prevent fatalities. CRH also remained on target for a 15% reduction in specific cement plant carbon emissions from 1990 levels by 2015, while continuing programs on energy efficiency, alternative fuels, water use, and waste reduction.
