Sustainability Report

The report covers CRH's 2015 sustainability performance across 100% of Group subsidiaries and highlights the scale added through major acquisitions. It reports 89,000 employees, 34.0 TWh of energy use, and Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions of 19.7m tonnes, 2.1m tonnes and 1.5m tonnes respectively. Safety reporting records no employee fatalities but three contractor fatalities across subsidiaries and a joint venture. The report also describes a formal materiality assessment, GRI G4 Core reporting and independent DNV GL assurance.
