Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents CRH's 2018 sustainability performance across more than 3,700 locations, including group-level greenhouse gas emissions of 35.4m tonnes for Scope 1, 2.7m tonnes for Scope 2 and 11.6m tonnes for Scope 3. It also reports 60.3 TWh of energy use, 119.6m m3 of water use and six fatalities involving operations. A 25% specific CO2 reduction target by 2020 against 1990 levels and strengthened Board-level SESR oversight are key highlights.
