Overview

The report presents Daetwyler Group's first GRI-based sustainability reporting, supported by quantitative environmental and workforce data. It describes a wood-fired heating plant commissioned at Schattdorf, expected to save about 1.5 million litres of fuel oil and reduce CO2 emissions by 4 000 tonnes annually. At year-end, the Group employed 4 433 FTEs, with women representing 31.5% of the workforce, and recorded no fatal accidents in 2008. It also describes a Group-wide Code of Conduct covering employees and prohibiting collusion, bribery and corruption.
