Progress Report

The report consolidates progress across the three District sustainability plans: Sustainable DC, Clean Energy DC, and Climate Ready DC. It reports that 98% of Sustainable DC 2.0 actions, 95% of Clean Energy DC actions, and 88% of Climate Ready DC actions were underway or complete. Highlights include nearly 11,000 trees planted in 2023 and the release of Carbon Free DC, which targets carbon neutrality by 2045. The report also documents progress in clean energy, climate resilience, food, water, transportation, and waste programs.
