The report describes Deutsche Börse Group's 2016 sustainability strategy, “with an eye to the future,” and its work on sustainable market products. The company expanded its STOXX Low Carbon index offering from 35 to 100 in 2016 and established a Group Sustainability Board to develop its group-wide sustainability strategy. It reported 5,176 employees at year-end, a 91% share of companies reporting to maximum transparency standards, and zero punished cases of corruption.
