Balance Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes the Lufthansa Group's 2017 sustainability performance across climate, workforce and responsible management. It reports externally verified Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions and explains the Group's fuel-efficiency and fleet-modernization measures. The Group also reports 129,424 employees at year-end, with women representing 46.1 percent of employees and 15.1 percent of managers worldwide. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Supervisory Board, supported by the Group-wide Corporate Responsibility Council.
