Sustainability Report

The report is Duke Energy's first sustainability report and presents 2006 results against a framework for future performance. It establishes five focus areas and a baseline for future measurement, while setting a goal to reduce, avoid and/or sequester 10 million tons of CO2 equivalent emissions by 2014. It reports four work-related fatalities in 2006 and describes new safety oversight. It also highlights community investment and workforce diversity data following the Cinergy merger.
