Overview

The report describes Duke Energy's 2020 progress in reducing carbon dioxide emissions from electricity generation by over 40 percent from 2005 levels, alongside goals to reduce emissions at least 50 percent by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. It also highlights a new net-zero methane goal for 2030, renewable-energy and energy-efficiency progress, and extensive COVID-19 relief for customers and communities. Workforce safety remained a focus, although the report records one work-related fatality.
