The report describes how Dürr weathered the 2009 downturn, retaining positive operating earnings and tripling operating cash flow to eliminate net financial debt. More than half of new orders came from emerging markets, while the company invested in product innovation and expanded into glueing, turbocharger balancing, and ultrafine-cleaning technologies. It also highlights the Campus Energy 21 concept, expected from 2010 to reduce energy use by around 50% and CO2 emissions by 60% compared with conventional energy supply systems.
