Annual Report

The report presents JR East's FY2017 consolidated performance, including operating revenues of ¥2,880.8 billion and profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥277.9 billion. It sets FY2031 environmental goals of a 25% reduction in railway-business energy consumption and a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions from railway operations, both compared with FY2014. The report also highlights workforce diversity: women represented 12.2% of employees, and JR East had appointed one female outside director by June 23, 2017.
