Overview

The report assigns overall sustainability responsibility to the Executive Board and says sustainability is addressed in Executive Board and Supervisory Board meetings. It highlights the recycling of around 5,3 million radiation sources from ionisation smoke detectors and reports recycling rates of 20% for new sources and just under 75% for blood irradiation sources. The report also acknowledges important data gaps: total GHG emissions were not collected, while the disclosed energy figure relates to 2018 German sites.
