Overview

The report highlights EGAT's 2010 environmental efforts, including Clean Development Mechanism projects, renewable-energy projects, demand-side management, energy conservation and reforestation. It reports cumulative DSM savings of 2,060 MW of peak demand and 12,210 million kWh of energy, together with a reduction of 7.7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The report also records a year-end workforce of 22,591 employees and detailed community, environmental-impact assessment and monitoring activities.
