The report highlights the company's ICT and online services, which reduced customers’ carbon footprints by 15,232 tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2011. Elisa also reports that its services enabled customer reductions of over 9,900 tCO2 and that more efficient operations and technology reduced emissions by more than 5,300 tCO2. The report describes using data-center heat for district heating in Espoo and says its cloud services can reduce customers’ energy consumption by as much as 94%.
