Overview

The report highlights Elkem's 2014 group CO 2 emissions of 1 463 Thousand tonnes and the recovery of around 600 GWh of energy each year. It also describes the Carbon Neutral Metal Production research project, which received NOK 7 million from the Research Council of Norway. The report further presents ongoing work on safer operations, lower emissions, energy efficiency and increased use of charcoal.
