Overview

The report presents Elkem's first CSRD- and ESRS-based sustainability statement, supported by a group-wide double materiality assessment and KPMG limited assurance. It sets a 25 per cent reduction target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 from a 2022 base year, alongside a net-zero ambition for 2050. The 2024 disclosure reports 7 153 GWh of total energy consumption, 11.53 million tonnes of location-based Scope 1-3 emissions, and a 41 per cent decrease in total waste generated from 2022 to 271 485 tonnes.
