Overview

The report presents CMPC's 2012 sustainability performance across eight Latin American countries, including 15,915 employees and a consolidated accident rate of 2.9 per 100 workers. Renewable biomass supplied 70.9% of consolidated energy consumption, while total energy use reached 90,889 Terajoules. CMPC reports 390,602 tonnes of consolidated solid waste and describes extensive community, biodiversity and forest-stewardship programs.
