Overview

The report presents CMPC's 2022 sustainability performance across its forestry, pulp, packaging and tissue operations in 12 countries. It reports 23,391 own employees, 37,027 GWh of energy consumption, 32,257,048 m3 of water consumption and 2,830,810 tons of waste generated. CMPC states that SBTi validated its emissions goals, including a 37.5% absolute Scope 3 reduction by 2035, and brings forward its net-zero ambition to 2040. It also reports 402,817 hectares conserved, protected or restored and a dual-materiality study covering impacts and company value.
