Overview

The report describes Enbridge's 2008 CSR performance across environmental, social, and community topics. It reports a 23% reduction in Canadian direct GHG emissions from 1990 levels and completion of a 190-megawatt Ontario wind power project. The social scorecard records one employee fatality in 2008 and continued workforce and safety initiatives. Enbridge also invested $8.5 million in more than 350 charitable, non-profit, and community organizations, while reporting against all GRI G3 Performance Indicators.
