Overview

The report presents Equinix's 2019 sustainability program across environmental, social and governance priorities. It reports 5,250 GWh of renewable energy consumption, equal to 92% of energy consumption, alongside Scope 1 emissions of 40,700 mtCO2e and location-based Scope 2 emissions of 2,079,000 mtCO2e. Social highlights include 1,666 external hires, 85% employee engagement and 33% employee volunteering or giving. Governance highlights include 20% women board members and ESG oversight by the Board of Directors Governance Committee.
