Overview

The report describes Essential Energy's first Sustainability Strategy and its independent materiality assessment, with the Board holding ultimate oversight. It reports 2,653,139 GJ of operational energy consumption and combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 555,533 tCO2e, while beginning TCFD climate-risk reporting. The year also included a major North Coast flood response after 69,603 customers lost power, supported by a whole-of-business mobilisation. The report highlights continued renewable-energy integration, including renewables delivering almost 28 per cent of total network load.
