Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents Aqua America's sustainability efforts across water and wastewater infrastructure, leak detection, wastewater reuse, watershed protection, and resource efficiency. It highlights more than 250 wastewater plants, about 15 percent of which provide treated effluent for reuse. The report also describes a 1.1 MW solar farm installed in 2009 to power the Ingram's Mill water treatment plant. Employee development, conservation programs, and community involvement are also covered.
