Sustainability Report

The report records €94.9 billion of 2021 Group financing and 51% of EIB own funds directed to climate action and environmental sustainability. It states that all financing activities were aligned with the Paris Agreement from 2021 and that the Group set a 12.4% absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 reduction target for 2025 against 2018. Internal operations reported a 4 356 tCO~2~e net carbon footprint, while the Group employed 4 412 staff at year-end.
