Corporate Responsibility Strategy and Status

Overview

The report describes Evonik's new corporate-responsibility strategy as an integral part of corporate strategy, organized around business, employees and processes. It reports 43,057 employees at year-end 2007 and group sales of EUR 14,430 million. The publication also presents selected environmental and safety data, including one fatal accident in 2007. Evonik set an interim goal of reducing the accident frequency rate to less than 3.0 by 2014.
