Overview

The report describes Exxaro's 2022 ESG performance and its transition toward a lower-carbon minerals and renewable energy business. It reports a 2022 baseline of 333 ktCO2e Scope 1 emissions and 637 ktCO2e Scope 2 emissions, alongside a carbon-neutral-by-2050 roadmap. The year included record safety performance overall but one workplace fatality at Belfast, while water consumption, recycling and social investment programmes were also reported across the group.
