The report says Fortum's direct CO2 emissions were 20.1 Mt in 2018, while its five-year average specific emissions were 186 g/kWh. It reports 8,286 employees at year-end and that 57% of total power generation was CO2-free. Fortum achieved 1,637 GWh/a of energy-efficiency improvements by the end of 2018 against a target of more than 1,900 GWh/a by 2020, and received a B in the CDP Climate Change rating.
