Overview

The report presents Fresenius' strong 2017 performance, with Group sales rising 15% to €33,886 million and year-end employment reaching 273,249 people. It introduces the company's first separate Group Nonfinancial Report, organized around patient well-being, ethical conduct, employment, nature protection, human rights and supply-chain responsibility. The report also begins Group-level reporting of water, energy and Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions. KPMG provided limited assurance over the separate nonfinancial report.
