Overview

The report is Gannett's inaugural ESG disclosure for 2021. It organizes its sustainability approach around three priority SDGs—Reduced Inequalities, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions—and describes workforce diversity initiatives, community journalism and supplier engagement. It also reports a first carbon footprint of 92,518 tCO2e for FY21, comprising Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, while acknowledging that further emissions inventory and target-setting work remained underway.
