Sustainability in Action

The report presents Gas Networks Ireland's 2023 sustainability performance across environmental, social and governance topics, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions of 190,490, 2,656 and 25,830 tCO2e respectively. It reports 567,000MWh of total metered energy consumption, 3,892,000 litres of water use and 136.3 tonnes of waste, all recycled or recovered. The company reports 714 employees, zero staff and contractor fatalities, and 45% female representation on the board. Sustainability oversight is assigned to the Board and Board committee, while the report states it was prepared in accordance with GRI Standards: Core option and received a CDP A- score.
