Overview

The report covers the year ended 30 June 2020 and presents GCM's continued effort to secure approval for the Phulbari Coal and Power Project. During the year, it advanced partnerships with PowerChina and NFC, while a Framework Agreement with NFC was signed in October 2020 after year-end. The report describes ongoing community engagement, planned resettlement and commitments to the UN Global Compact, IFC safeguards, the Equator Principles and ADB policies. Financially, the Group remained pre-revenue and recorded a £1,515,000 loss, with continued funding uncertainty.
