Sustainable Development Report

The report presents Gem Diamonds' sustainability performance for the 2013 calendar and financial year across economic, product, environmental, health, safety and social topics. It highlights a fatality-free year, a 45% reduction in the Group carbon footprint to 137 082 tonnes CO2e, and Group-wide energy and water consumption of 6 972 536GJ and 4 032 161m3 respectively. It also reports 1 660 employees, 19.5% female workforce representation and 7.4% female Board representation, alongside GRI G3.1 reporting at application level C.
