Sustainability Report

The report is Glencore Xstrata's first sustainability report following the May 2013 merger and describes how the enlarged group performed during 2012. It reports approximately 190,000 employees and contractors and 27 fatalities across combined operations. Governance is led by the Board HSEC committee, while the report presents combined 2012 Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of 24,314 and 13,031 thousand tons CO2e, respectively. The report also sets out a group sustainability framework, materiality process and selected externally assured KPIs.
