Sustainability Report

The report describes Glencore's 2014 sustainability performance across its global operations. It reports 16 work-related fatalities and continued Group-wide rollout of the SafeWork safety initiative. Energy use reached 250 PJ, while Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were reported at 23.2 million and 13.4 million tonnes respectively. A major highlight was completion of the $500 million Mopani smelter upgrade, which enabled capture of 95% of sulphur dioxide emissions.
