Sustainability Report

The report describes Glencore's 2016 sustainability performance across safety, climate, water, human rights and community engagement. The company reported 16 fatalities at managed operations, while maintaining a Group-wide focus on fatality prevention. Total energy use was 222 PJ, with 19% of energy needs met through renewable sources. Water withdrawal was 970 million m3, alongside a Group water-management framework and expanded water-balance reporting.
