Sustainability Report

The report reviews Glencore's 2017 sustainability performance across industrial and marketing activities under operational control. Highlights include nine fatalities, 202 petajoules of energy use, 33.5 million tonnes of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and a group-wide 5% carbon-intensity reduction target by 2020. It also covers water management, tailings, human rights, community investment and workforce diversity, including 12,037 women representing 14% of employees. Deloitte provided limited assurance over selected sustainability information.
