Integrated Annual Report

The report describes how Gold Fields generated US$123 million in net cash flow during 2015 despite a lower gold price, while continuing its operational transformation and work to improve South Deep. Safety remained a major challenge: the Group’s injury rate improved, but four fatalities were reported. Total Scope 1–3 CO2 emissions rose to 1,753,163 tonnes, even as energy-efficiency initiatives delivered cumulative savings. The report also details investments in host communities, including water access, education and local supplier development.
