Overview

The report describes Goldman Sachs' 2023 progress toward its sustainable finance strategy, including approximately $555 billion of commercial activity since 2019 and an approximately $130 billion annual contribution in 2023. Operational metrics report 493,518 MWh of global direct and intermediate energy consumption, 100% renewable energy, 13,842 tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions and 155,105 tCO2e of location-based Scope 2 emissions. The company also reports net-zero pathway commitments for financing activities by 2050 and for operations and supply chain by 2030. Sustainability oversight is assigned directly to the full Board, with additional oversight by Board committees and management forums.
