The report records group revenue of £1.9 billion and underlying operating profit of £77.2 million, up 8% and 27%. In its UK merchanting business, the company recycled 76% of waste in 2013. An energy-control trial in one Plumbase region achieved a 10% reduction in energy consumption and saved over 13 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
