Sustainability Report

The report describes Granite’s 2021 sustainability strategy, including a target to reduce total Scope 1 emissions by 25% by 2030 from a 2020 baseline. It reports 2021 Scope 1 emissions of 214,303 metric tons and adds Scope 2 reporting. Granite also began using post-consumer plastic in a commercial asphalt mix, describing the project as a way to divert plastic waste and reduce virgin binder use.
