ESG Performance Summary

The report summarizes GSK's 2020 ESG performance across workforce, access, ethics, health and safety, energy, emissions, water and waste. It reports 94,066 employees on an FTE basis, 3,884 GWh of total energy and a sharp increase in renewable electricity to 52% of electricity used. Environmental data includes 773 thousand tonnes CO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 228 thousand tonnes CO2e of market-based Scope 2 emissions, 12.47 million m3 of water use and 108.1 thousand tonnes of overall waste. Selected EHS indicators were independently assured by DNV on a limited-assurance basis.
