Sustainability Report

The report describes HHLA's 2017 sustainability performance across climate, energy, resource use and employees. CO2 emissions per container handled had been reduced by 28.9% from 2008, nearing the 30% reduction target for 2020, while HHLA expanded renewable electricity use and electrification. The Group reported 5,581 employees at year-end and disclosed water consumption of 99,951 m3 and waste of 8,023 tonnes. The combined Non-Financial Report received limited assurance from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
