Overview

The report presents Hankook Tire's 2009 consolidated sales of KRW 5.14 trillion and operating profit of KRW 620.2 billion despite a difficult global tire market. It also describes the creation of a dedicated CSR Team and an integrated CSR management system covering environmental, social, ethical and risk topics. Environmental initiatives included switching boiler fuel to LNG, which reduced annual CO2 emissions by 12,000 tons, and completing a facility to turn 800 tons of wastewater per day into reusable water.
